Job Summary
The Pest Control Technician / Supervisor is responsible for carrying out and supervising pest control activities across company locations to maintain a clean, safe, and pest-free environment. The role includes inspecting premises, identifying pest infestations, applying approved pest control treatments, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining accurate records, and leading pest control personnel when assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections to identify pest activity and assess infestation levels.
- Perform pest control treatments using approved chemicals, equipment, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily work of pest control technicians.
- Ensure all pest control activities comply with municipality regulations, HACCP requirements, and company policies.
- Investigate pest-related complaints and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain records of inspections, chemical usage, treatment schedules, and service reports.
- Ensure the safe handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of pesticides and hazardous materials.
- Maintain pest control equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
- Train and guide technicians on safe work practices, chemical handling, and pest management procedures.
- Coordinate with restaurant managers, facility teams, and external authorities during inspections and audits.
- Monitor inventory of chemicals, equipment, and PPE, and raise replenishment requests when required.
- Prepare weekly and monthly pest control performance reports.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with occupational health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Pest Control, or a related field.
- Valid Pest Control Technician/Supervisor certification or license (as required by local authorities).
- UAE driving license is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pest control services.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience in restaurants, hospitality, catering, food manufacturing, or facilities management is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of pest identification and control methods.
- Understanding of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles.
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and UAE municipality regulations.
- Leadership and team supervision skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple locations.
